Salve a tutti,
da questo Natale sono diventato un fiero possessore del C64 Mini, regalo molto apprezzato e già pienamente sfruttato. Visto che con uno degli ultimi aggiornamenti hanno dato la possibilità di far partire i propri programmi tramite USB, mi chiedevo se esista uno store ufficiale o simile, in modo da non dover ricorrere alle ROM illegali per i giochi. Io in giro non ne ho trovati però, se non dovessero essercene, che senso ha questo aggiornamento? Incentivare lo scaricamento compulsivo?

Non è detto che devi scaricarli illegalmente. In teoria potresti avere le copie fisiche originali e crearti le tue rom estraendone il contenuto.

A parte il fatto che le copie non ce le ho più e credo di non avercele mai avute originale, ma soprattutto non ho idea di come si faccia!

Hanno aggiunto un nuovo gioco! Galencia, uscito l'anno scorso clone di galaga ma con una sua personalità.

Adds a complete new game for free to the GAMES CAROUSEL! Galencia for the Mini is licensed from Jay Aldred and is the winner of the Reset64 Magazine 2017 Commodore 64 Game of the Year Award
Introduces the Virtual Joystick. You can now select all options on THEC64 Mini and even play games just using a USB keyboard. See Virtual Joystick for further information
Improves the File Loader to allow multiple programs to be configured at once. See Setting a Default Configuration for Multiple Programs for further information
Remembers the mute state of the CAROUSEL music between reboots
Improves the general performance of THEC64 Mini screens and menus

Galencia is the winner of the Reset64 Magazine 2017 Commodore 64 Game of the Year Award. It is a colourful, highly polished, Galaga inspired single-screen shoot-em-up.

Jay has worked really hard to produce a special version of Galencia just for THEC64 Mini and its 720p display, and it makes maximum use of the upper and lower borders for graphics, right up to the edge of the screen! Be aware however, that some HD TVs might crop some of these border graphics when displaying the 720p image. This is not a fault with Galencia or the Mini and we recommend that you refer to your TV settings.

Con l'uscita del nuovo TheC64 (la versione grande con tastiera funzionante) è arrivato anche il nuovo firmware (v1.3.1)!

Sperando che abbiano migliorato almeno un poco l'imput lag, l'update è davvero corposo:

Ho verificato i due firmware (thec64 e thec64mini) e sono identici.

Tra l'altro è in arrivo anche il Joystick rinforzato e con i microswitch (25€)!

Per chi se lo chiedesse, il tema musicale del menù del C64mini è stato composto per l'occasione da Matt Gray. il .sid è presente nell'enorme database che è HVSC, oppure sull'ottimo player online DeepSID.

Increases the length of displayed USB filenames in the File loader
Fixes an issue where filename flags are not detected if the USB filename contains multiple dots/periods/full stops
Fixes an issue with the saved states location where multiple spaces are found in the USB filename
Fixes the saved states location used on a USB stick to be unique per filename. Note that this may change the saved states location from previous firmware versions if the filename contains multiple dots/periods/full stops.

Il firmware è unico per le versioni PAL ed NTSC sia del mini che del maxi.
