Base game was translated into Italian but not the expansion.
I could provide an italian copy of the original game but it could a little tricky to combine it into one bundle.
Perhaps you could release it as a stand alone game without expansion.

I believe we have a retail copy of the game ourselves and we tried to get the Winter of the White Wolf expansion to work with the Italian version but the expansion seems to be hard coded to only work with the English, French, and German versions of the game OR there never was an Italian version of the expansion :/

I was searching for info about the expansion and actually found two useful tools to extract/recompress the H2O archives and edit the text files.
It can be done. Winter of the wolf would be compatible with Italian version of Battle Realms and "eventually" translated.
I have to check how much text have to be translated and how much could be only converted.

I believe that it isn't a viable option for now. GOG doesn't allow unofficial translation nor the creation of a product that was never released on the market. Also in this case the result, without translation, would be a game with part text in english and part in italian and that wouldn't be viable too.
For now we should stick to the available option hoping that in the future something change on the matter. Best case would be to directly contact the license owner asking for permission to produce such product that would be later could be release on gog.

Capisco quello che dici. Diciamo che se GOG lo facesse, e non sarebbe la prima volta che utilizzerebbe una traduzione amatoriale, ho verificato il testo da tradurre, non è tanto. Ho già copiato il testo italiano nei file dell'espansione e funziona tutto. Peccato che 2 su 3 il gioco vada in crash. Purtroppo problema noto del packer.

Certo (scusa se ho risposto in inglese :P), confermavo solo il punto di vista attuale. Questa cosa la vedo più come uno step successivo magari con possibilità che si apriranno in futuro. Judas può confermare quando lo abbia già stressato sull'argomento, ma anche lui su quello ha poco controllo: più che informarsi e definire i limiti entro i quali possiamo contribuire non son si va.
Come dicevo, la cosa secondo me con più possibilità di successo è contattare prima chi detiene i diritti e vedere se sono disponibili alla cosa (non si sa mai). Chi gestisce Battle Realms?

Liquid entertainment. Un paio di anni fa hanno annunciato il remake. Stesso gioco, motore migliorato, multi monitor e widescreen, bugfix, grafica migliore ecc... Ovviamente lo prenderò. Verdeluciato su steam ad agosto 2015. In betatest da allora. Ci dovremmo essere.

Mi ero perso questa cosa. Sono contento ma mi sa anche che non sia stata fatta girare troppo la voce. In effetti ci starebbe una traduzione anche se sarebbe meglio la facessero ufficiale e pronta all'uscita.
Certo, magari vedere gli sviluppatori così interessati a riproporre il gioco può anche voler dire che siano disposti a ufficializzare un progetto di traduzione anche per l'espansione originale, non sarebbe male.

Sono stato contattato dal creatore del programma di estrazione H2Otool. Mi ha detto di star lavorando ad un nuovo editor per tradurre WotW in italiano e spagnolo. Appena pronto vedremo quanto sarà lungo il lavoro per eventualmente cominciare a lavorarci. Vi tengo aggiornati.

Io ho una versione ITALIANA dell'espansione "Battle Realms: Winter of the Wolf" mi pare strano non funzioni con l'edizione italiana del gioco base, non ho mai provato ad installarla però, appena posso provo,

Ok, ma c'è scritto gioco in inglese...
Non mi risulta esistere la versione italiana dell'espansione. Se installata trasforma anche il gioco base in inglese.
